Gwen is back in a phenomenal spot for
both top and jungle after her revert.
While Graves has a new bruiser build
that you need to check out. So, we've
got all this and much more to cover in
today's video as we provide you guys
with an update to any new meta trends
and the solo Q tier list for every
single role. But first, some hard truth.
YouTube is built for the algorithm, not
your LP. That means clickbait titles,
junk food topics, and stretching simple
tips for watch time. We're part of that
system, too, just like every guide and
YouTube channel. And because every video
is randomly surfaced to you as a
singular guide and topic, advice often
contradicts what you just watched. No
context, no plan, more confusion. On our
website at Skill Couch, however, we're
free from all that, allowing us to focus
on what actually matters. We teach in

Gwen back to her 25.5 state, the
champion has seen the biggest surge in
power out of anyone for 25.21. From a
measly 47% win rate last patch to now
jumping up around 51%, Gwen is back in a
big way. With the changes, Gwen's AP
ratios have gone back up on her passive
Q and R, which means going for a bursty
style of Gwen is much better. Now, a lot
of high elo Gwen players really advocate
against building Rift Maker, even though
it's most popular among the average
Gwen. Instead, what they like to do is
rush Nashers or Lichbane for more
upfront burst and then pick up Shadow
Flame second. Your one-shot power is
incredible with this build variation.
And it's currently the best way to play
Gwen after her reaver. So, even though
we pushed Gwen up into the A tier during
our pre-patch tier list, she's in need
of a further push up due to how
impactful the changes have landed. So,
we're moving her into S. So, Riot had
the Mundo changes listed as adjustments
in the patch notes. However, he's seen a
considerable decline in strength for
25.21. Reason being isn't entirely due
to his direct changes, though, as he was
also indirectly nerfed with Doran Shield
and Second Wind becoming weaker. Mundo
is just way more exploitable in lane now
due to those system nerfs. So getting to
his monster mid to late game is harder
to do. You can still pick him into other
tanks like Scion, Malight or and be just
fine, but playing him into a meta
fighter like Yona, Fiora, Urelia, Garen,
ora is just not looking good right now.
So we're going to be demoting Mundo down
the top lane tier list for mid patch,
moving him from A into B tier. So if we
have a look at the complete top lane
tier list, there are a few more minor
adjustments to discuss. OP tier won't be
changing at all with Garen, Malight, and
Cassia locking down the spot. Even
though Cass isn't played that much in
the top lane, she's without question the
most underrated off-meta pick in the
game with how insane her bully strength
has become in recent patches. Not only
did Riot directly buff Casio's early
game, giving her more base mana and more
damage on E, but the loss of durability
from Dor and Shield and Second Wind have
amplified her bully power even more. And
then Rexi is going to be added to the
top lane tier list and placed in the B
tier for 25.21. If you've been watching
this year's world, then you have seen
top lane Rex eye pulled out quite a bit
already, and it's definitely not as
powerful for solo Q, but it's worth
looking into if you want something new
to play. And then in regards to the
Doran's Blade and Dorne's ring changes,
it's really not looking like they have
been significant enough to cause a shift
in power for any champions. It was more
so the nerfs to Dorne shield and second
wind that has helped some champs and
hindered others as a couple of range top
laners like Kenan and Heimerdinger are
performing really well so far in 25.21.
So, the one jungler who has seen the
most amount of power added to their kit
for this patch has been Gwen. Gwen is
just as good in the jungle as she is for
top lane right now. So, if you're
someone who mains those two roles,
spamming Gwen for 25.21 is not a bad
idea at all. One thing Gwen jungle
players are liking a bit more than top
lane players is opting for First Strike
as the keystone rune instead of
conqueror. With Gwen, you really just
want to hit your item spikes as fast as
possible. And by taking the inspiration
tree, it greatly enables that. Not only
will First Strike be providing
additional gold when skirmishing, but
you take cash back, which will help you
hit your second item faster. And then
the build working best for Gwen jungle
is similar to top lane with rift maker
being outperformed by Lichbane and
Nashers. A two item core of Nashers into
Lichbane is actually winning the most
right now, so it's definitely something
you should try out instead of
autopiloting the inclined Rift Maker. So
just like top lane Gwen, jungle Gwen
will be getting a push up into the S
tier for 25.21. So, Graves is a really
interesting jungler for this patch
because for the first time this season,
it's looking like his meta build has
taken a turn. Instead of going for the
standard ghost blade into the collector
core, a more bruisery setup has emerged.
And you might be wondering, well, why is
bruiser all of a sudden good now? Well,
it's because over the past two patches,
Ride has changed Graves in ways to
incentivize more durable builds. They
lowered the AD ratio on his Q, lowered
his base magic resist, but gave him
magic resist stacking on his E. With
magic resist stacking now being a thing,
it means the longer Graves can last in a
fight, the more he'll be able to stack
that up and get max value. So, playing
him as a more durable skirmisher is
quite strong. Now, it's a bit of a wonky
bruiser build that is most popular right
now as a hubris rush into black cleaver
second and jock third is what's being
played the most. By rushing hubris, you
still have some nice early to midame
snowball power, but from then on out,
you transition into more durable items
so that you can thrive more in extended
fights. So, diving into the jungle tier
list now. OP tier will be the same as
where we had it for pre- patch with
Volibear and Jax. The Diana nerf has
played out as we expected with her
losing less than 1% win rate, so she's
still a good S tier jungler, but not
worthy of an OP tier spot anymore. If
you haven't tried out the Trinity Force
build on Volibear yet, then definitely
give it a go for this patch. The play
rate of Trinity Force on Volibear has
almost tripled from last patch, going
from 6% up to 17%, and it currently has
a much better win rate than Cosmic
Drive, so it's definitely looking like
the more optimal rush item now. you go
Trinity into flicker blades and just
have an immense amount of skirmish
strength on that two item core. And then
Gwen is the big talking point coming out
of jungle for this patch as she's the
one champ moving up the tier list that
you should consider adding to your
champion pool. A more niche mid-lane
champ, but one of the best in the game
right now is Nefury. And there's been a
new build popping up over the past few
patches that is adding a ton of strength
to her. So, it was back in 25.19 where
we started to see a shift away from
Eclipse as Nefir's rush item and onto
Voltaic Cycllo Sword instead. Eclipse
still had the higher play rate than
Voltaic in 25.19, but if we fast forward
to 25.21, Voltaic has now overtaken
Eclipse as Nefiri players have caught on
to its strength. So what makes Volta
cycllo sword so good on Nefury then?
Well, the energized attack from Voltaic
stacks faster when you use dashes. And
because Nefiri has the potential to dash
multiple times in a skirmish because of
her reset on R, she can get multiple
procs of the energized attack off in an
extended fight. So Voltaic is without
question the best rush item on mid-lane
Nefury right now. But second item is
where there's more variety. Opportunity
and hubris are the two best performing
second items on Nefury. Opportunity
feels really nice because of the
movement speed proc you get on
takedowns. It allows Nefury to dive into
a fight, burst a squishy, and then
actually have a way to reposition
without getting bursted down by the
enemy team. Hubris will just be more
damage. So it all comes down to whether
or not you value the movement speed
passive from Opportunity or not. All in
all though, Nefuria is absolutely
dominating the mid lane with this build
and is the best melee assassin that you
can play for 25.21 as she's up in the
mid lane S tier. So going into the
patch, there was one mid-lane champ we
were worried would end up losing quite a
bit of power due to the item and runes
changes and is played out that way with
Cassadin seeing a significant decline.
Not only was Cass hurt by the second
wind and Dor and shield nerfs, but Riot
really put a wrench in him when they
decided to nerf catalyst as well. The
early game survivability of Cassidin is
just much weaker now. So there's more of
a hurdle to get through to reach his
deadly mid to late game spike. So blind
picking Cass is actually a lot more
risky now. and our decision to move him
down into the A tier during pre- patch
was the correct move. For the mid-lane
tier list in 25.21, the OP tier will
continue to be locked down by Morana,
Diana, and Leblanc. We were correct in
our assumption that the Morgana nerf
would not be quite enough to remove her
from an OP state, as losing the scaling
armor just doesn't really address the
core reason to why she's so powerful
right now. Of course, if Riot were to
just heavily nerf her armor, then that
would impact her. but it was an armor
growth nerf that sees her lose a max of
14 armor at level 18. So, it hasn't been
nearly enough to remove Morgana from the
meta. With the catalyst nerf coming
through, it's led to a small drop off in
power for a few mid-lane champs, but not
enough to warrant a shift in anyone's
tier list placement. And then, as we
mentioned when covering top lane, the
adjustments to Doran's Ring and Doran's
Blade have turned out pretty neutral.
So, there haven't been specific
champions who have gained a lot of power
from those changes. So, bot lane meta is
going to remain the same as where it was
last patch with Ash and Jinx being the
two highest priority picks. It's still
early on the patch, so we can't be for
sure, but it is looking like a few
champs have been negatively impacted by
the Doran's blade changes. Draven in
specific has lost around 1% win rate, as
the swap from life steal to healing
based on a percent of your damage dealt
has turned out bad for him, and we'll be
moving Draven into the ADC B tier. Even
though we saw Ezreal and Yara buff for
this patch, they haven't seen a
significant boost in power that would
push them up the tier list. We showed
you guys in the pre- patch breakdown
that the Yara changes weren't even all
buffs, and as a result, she has gained
less than 1% win rate from them.
Galista, on the other hand, though, has
actually seen a more significant rise in
strength due to her buff. Win rate has
jumped up around 1.5% and she's no
longer the weakest ADC in the game.
Still not a top tier champ by any means,
but she's gained enough strength to
warrant a move out of Ctier and into B.
And then the Kog'aw nerf, as expected,
did not do enough to impact his strength
at all, so he remains placed in the S
tier. The upper echelon of the support
tier list is going to stay the same as
where we've had it for the past while
with Nami and Mio taking home the OP
tier slots. If you guys are looking to
pick up Melio, then definitely check out
the guide we just uploaded a few days
ago where we break down everything you
need to know to start dominating on the
pick, as we'll link it in the top right
hand corner of the screen. Bard was the
one support who got buffed for this
patch and nothing has really changed in
regards to his meta build. Riot buffed
the AP ratio on Bard's W, but it wasn't
buffed enough to take him away from
rushing Dead Man's Plate as it's still
outperforming everything else. And then
no reason to drop Morana if you like
playing her as a support because the
armor growth nerf barely impacted her
power level at all. All right guys, one
last thing. Our rankup guarantee is
insane. It's like signing up for the gym
